Faith and Grace

Paul the apostle in Romans 1:17 tells us "...the just shall live by faith." That means faith is the lifestyle of the Christian. Why faith? Our God is a faith God and He wants His children to be like Him. God also knows His way works.

In Ephesians 2:8-9 He says..."for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast." You see, receiving salvation is an act of faith, but it is the grace (all the goodness) of God that provides the opportunity. God just wants people to trust that He is who says He is in the Bible and then take a step toward Him. He even gives you enough faith to get started and believe! Now that's grace in action.

God' kingdom, His system for how things work, is based on faith. Everything works the same way. Whatever you need from God He provides by His grace and you access it according to your faith. That's in Romans 5:1-2, look it up!

So here's what we have access to through a relationship with God through Jesus...

John 1:16 Amplified Bible (AMP)
16 For out of His fullness [the superabundance of His grace and truth] we have all received grace upon grace [spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing, favor upon favor, and gift heaped upon gift].

Wow! That's a lot of grace! As we continue to develop our faith, by making it our lifestyle, we can go deeper into this grace and see it manifest in our lives to a greater degree.

God bless you.
